ROK Stars PLC, the consumer and environmental products company co-founded by U.S. billionaire John Paul DeJoria and U.K. entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrick, has announced a hugely successful evening for its ABK Bavarian Beer at the inaugural San Francisco Symphony’s Oktoberfest 2017.
Thousands of steins of ABK Beer were raised in delight at the inaugural Oktoberfest held in the Davies Symphony Hall on Tuesday 3rd October as celebrated conductor Christian Reif lead the San Francisco Symphony in a program featuring Bavarian waltzes and polkas, rollicking opera choruses, sing-alongs, and other traditional folk favorites with a classical twist.
With tickets costing between $175.00 and $500.00 each, the evening was a complete success and proceeds from the Oktoberfest celebration will go on to benefit the Symphony’s myriad artistic, community, and education programs.
Widely considered to be among the most artistically adventurous and innovative arts institutions in the U.S., the San Francisco Symphony played its first concert on December 8, 1911. The San Francisco Symphony has grown in stature and acclaim under a succession of distinguished music directors since then and now presents more than 220 concerts annually.
Commenting, Jonathan Kendrick said “It is fantastic to see our award-winning ABK Beer, which has been brewed in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, for more than 700 years, being enjoyed at Oktoberfest events outside Germany for the first time in our long history as, in addition to this highly prestigious San Francisco Symphony event, ABK Beer is also the exclusive Bavarian beer at 50 Oktoberfest evenings across England throughout October.”
