Monday 20th May 2013

ROK Stars PLC, the consumer products development company founded by US billionaire John Paul DeJoria and UK entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrick, has announced that on the 15th of May 2013 the shareholders of Bavarian-based brewery Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren AG voted to transfer its brewery business and the real estate necessary for the brewery business to ABK Betriebsgesellschaft der Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren GmbH (ABK GmbH) with a 99.74% majority.

John Paul DeJoria addressed the shareholders meeting via video from the United States and Jonathan Kendrick addressed the shareholders gathered at the brewery in Kaufbeuren in person.

ROK Stars PLC owns 55% of ABK GmbH which now has the exclusive distribution rights for all Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren AG’s products worldwide.

ABK GmbH’s primary tasks will include increasing sales through developing new export markets and, in so doing, lowering the unit production costs.

Commenting, Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROK Stars said “We have seen the remarkable growth in recent times in the heritage and craft beer markets in several countries, particularly the US, and we feel that proper German beer has a unique credibility, developed under the ancient ‘Reinheitsgebot’ German Beer Purity Laws which date back to 1516. As a crucial unique selling point, Aktienbrauerei in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, can trace its roots even further than that – to 1308 – representing more than 700 years of Bavarian brewing heritage and tradition.”
